When Is The Best Time To Buy?
If you were to ask ten people when the best time to buy a car is you very well may get ten different answers.
No matter what that cool uncle of yours that knows somebody in the car business says, it’s probably not in the middle of a hurricane or blizzard when the “car guys and gals” are “hungry” for a sale.
All kidding aside, there are so many factors that go into the car business. It’s always changing and ultimately you must decide when is the time for you.
A couple things to keep in mind is historically rebates and incentives on new vehicles are the best the closer you get to the end of the year. Couple that with the fact that manufacturers and dealers are very motivated to sell as many vehicles as possible during the year to help with their year-end numbers and it makes it an excellent time to buy.
Another thing to keep in mind is a lot of plants building these new vehicles go on holiday shut down and / or maybe shutting down to switch over to the new model which can make inventory levels shrink until early into the next year, so the longer you wait, the less selection there might be.
Also, there can be tax advantages to purchasing vehicles for businesses that usually happens at the end of the year further trimming vehicles inventories.
So no matter what your uncle says late November early December is a pretty good time to buy a vehicle.
