Birdnow Auto Salvage of Oelwein has purchased the former Matthiesen’s auto salvage in Fayette Iowa. We have merged the two salvage yards together. Our Oelwein yard mostly stocked parts for cars that were 5 years old and older. The Fayette yard specialized in late model parts. This merger has hugely increased our inventory in used parts to better service you. For instance, we have nearly 400 parts cars on hand and over 600 engines and transmissions pulled, on the shelf, and ready to go. For the many customers that like to repair vehicles we offer vehicles that are repairable. Some have body damage, others have a mechanical problem. We will always tell you everything we know about the vehicle. We also offer all the parts needed for you, your mechanic or your body repair technician to repair the vehicle. We also have full time, experienced techs on duty that can do minor body repair as well mechanical, and installation of any parts you buy from us.
